David Jefferson
SCIGN Data Specialist


David Jefferson has been working with
GPS satellite orbit and clock studies with the Tracking Systems and Applications
section at JPL for six years. He recieved his B.S. in Aeronautical/Astronautical
Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
His interests include improvement of GPS processing
techiniques and programming, which has helped improve the analysis of
SCIGN data processed at JPL. His current work includes data analysis,
model testing and implementation and software development for FLINN Precise
GPS Orbit Determination at JPL. David also is responsible for JPL's weekly
contribution of precise orbit solutions for the International GPS Service
for Geodynamics (IGS), which also aids in the precise position solutions
for networks like SCIGN.
David is a member of the American Geophysical Union
and has received a NASA Group Acheivement Award as well as the JPL NOVA
Award. For recreation, David enjoys music composition and performance
and racquetball.
